Q: In the event of an impediment, can I change my tour?
A: Yes, if you notify us no later than three days prior to your booking. Remember though, that you may only change the tour date, cancellation is not possible.
Q: Why are there so few/no available tours before noon?
A: Tours before noon are available solely for pre-booked groups such as companies, cruise guests etc. Public tours are only available in the afternoon, except for the most weekends, when the tours start at 10.
Q: In the event of bad weather
A: We do not cancel tours due to rain, rather the saying ?When in Rome, do as the Romans do!? applies. The guide of the day always goes up on the rooftop prior to the tour, to check the conditions. In the event of rough winds, thunder or extreme fog, Upplev Mer may relocate the tour to the ground level, as a safety precaution, where you will be able to take part of the exciting history of Riddarholmen, only from another point of view.
Q: I have received a gift voucher for an Upplev Mer rooftop tour, which expires on June 5th. However, there are no available tours prior to that date, what do I do?
A: Your gift voucher is valid for booking until June 5th i.e. you can book your tour for later in the summer, as long as you book before the voucher expires.
Q: How do I find my way to the rooftop tours at Riddarholmen?
A: All of our tours start at Birger Jarl?s square located at Riddarholmen, by the statue of Birger Jarl himself. The square is the very first thing you see as you arrive at Riddarholmen. Riddarholmskyrkan, the church, flanks the square.
Q: What is a rooftop tour?
A: A rooftop tour is a guided tour of the city´s and our country´s history past and present, only it takes place on a rooftop. We have secure catwalks, firmly anchored according to our safety regulations. A rooftop tour consists of certain passages where kneeling and lighter climbing on ladders is necessary. The ladders in Stockholm are not quite as steep as the ones in Sundsvall, but they are part of the incessant system that enables us to move around the whole block. Q: How do I book and pay for my tour?
A: All transactions go via the homepage. To book, click on Book on-line, and choose among the available dates. Please observe that the calendar displays one week at a time. For another date/week, click on pick another date, at the left hand corner. When you have chosen your date, you will pass on through to a secure payment system where you may use VISA or MasterCard/ EuroCard to complete your booking. Remember that the booking needs to be in the same name as the cardholder. If you have a gift certificate, simply follow the instructions and use your Pin Code.
